SCOPE OF WORK

Panel-by-panel precast and double-tee restoration: joints, connections, and surface repair, tracked from survey to sign-off.

Applicable Standards

PCI MNL-116, ACI 318, ACI 546R, ICRI 310.2R, ASTM C881, ASTM E488 (anchor pull-out)

Precast Condition Survey
  • Visual inspection; systematic sounding; spall and crack mapping on elevation drawings.
  • Anchor probe: expose representative anchors at minimum 3 per elevation; assess corrosion and capacity.
  • GPR scan option: locate anchors without destructive probing; map cavity and panel thickness.
Precast Spall Repair
  • Remove unsound concrete to ICRI CSP 6; clean rebar to SSPC-SP 6; apply corrosion inhibitor.
  • Apply bonding agent; place cementitious repair mortar; match color and texture of adjacent precast.
  • Apply elastomeric coating over repaired areas for uniform appearance and protection.
Precast Anchor Replacement
  • Remove failed or corroded anchors; install new Type 316 SS anchor (epoxy-grouted).
  • Anchor design by EOR; minimum 1" solid embedment in backup structure.
  • Pull-out test per ASTM E488 on minimum 5% of new anchors; report to EOR.
Precast Joint Sealant Replacement

Remove all existing sealants; install new backer rod; apply structural silicone or polyurethane sealant. Movement analysis required for large precast panels: confirm sealant movement capacity matches joint demand.

Precast Panel Replacement

Source match from original precaster or approved substitute; submit mock-up for Owner approval. Erection per EOR-approved connection design; match panel finish and color to adjacent units.
